White Window Once Red |
| back >>> |
| I've a passion for things that are lost and abandoned
- for things with a small personal history. This fuels my assemblages, but
it's also inspired this painting. I'm also haunted by the eloquence of windows which intrigue me whether empty or full of life. Likewise apparent is my enduring interest in textures and surfaces, evident in the textures of the wall, the faded, almost-gone red paint and the sloppiness with which the 'new' coat of white paint has been applied to the window. Why paint the window when the wall iteself is ignored. |
