Concrete Matrix

Concrete Matrix began life with some found objects. As I kept looking at them on my studio table, they become more and more about their own geometry and the beauty of it rather than the mundane items that they really were.

Eventually I realized that their bulk was very similar to concrete forms that I've seen and with a bit of texture and color, the result is what you see.

I've framed this assemblage/collage/wall-sculpture rather formally so that it would point out the sophisticated qualities of what are really primiitive shapes.

It's framed and behind glass.
