This assemblage was originally inspired by a tray of letters and numbers I spotted in a friend's studio.They were meant to be posted in some sort of sign, but had been sitting in abandoned storage for years. Their appeal was both the signs of their age and the mystery of their utility. Why IX? Or VH, and what does it have to do with a very practical 56?

My friend graciously gifted me with this selection and over time, I juxtaposed them with many things that seemed to resonate back and forth. Elements came - elements went. Finally I cast the 6 heads that you see, and it started to feel right.

It's wired and ready to hang in a pine frame with glass to protect the various delicate elements. I've signed it on the back.

This assemblage/painting is executed with a variety of found materials on an assortment of artist's boards and hand-crafted papers.
dimensions are 17" x 21" x 2" thick.
It is ready-to-hang with painted sides that make framing unnecessary.
It has been varnished with a coating for protection which also shields the colors from UV light.

Signed and dated on the back, I will provide upon request, a letter of certification for gallery asking price.
